RB – Dominik Szoboszlai – the balance of the team was not right in Turkey, so Slot may opt to move the Hungarian back to right-back, with Joe Gomez making way.
CB – Ibrahima Konate – it was back to the bad old days for the Frenchman versus Galatasaray. Fans will be hoping it was just a one-off.
CB – Virgil van Dijk – the captain will need to keep an eye on Dominic Solanke, who has found some form despite Spurs’s struggles.
LB – Milos Kerkez – Slot may opt to rotate and play Andy Robertson, but the Hungarian has usually been given the nod in most high-profile matches.
