Liverpool Prepared To Let Two Players Leave Before Transfer Deadline

Liverpool will consider letting both Caiomhin Kelleher and Nathaniel Clyne leave on loan if appropriate clubs can be found, according to reports in the local media.

Kelleher has been attracting interest from Championship side Preston North End in recent months, and the Reds feel the Irishman could benefit from being sent out on loan to gain more first-team experience.

The 21-year-old has not featured for the senior side since the 5-0 defeat against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quater-final back in December. He could be in line to play in the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday week but he may find it more beneficial to get a temporary move away from Anfield.

Clyne’s case is slightly different. The fullback has not played since sustaining an ACL injury in the friendly against Borussia Dortmund back in July.

The 28-year-old is, however, making a quicker than expected recovery, and manager Jurgen Klopp could let him leave before the transfer window shuts knowing he has reliable cover in Neco Williams.
