Liverpool ‘Ready’ To Make £120M Transfer Raid For Two Midfielders With Enquiry Made For A Third

Liverpool are “ready” to make a £70m bid for Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, while they are also confident of landing Chelsea’s Mason Mount for £50m, according to The Mirror journalist John Richardson.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal are keen on Mac Allister too, but it is believed that talks between the player and the Reds are “a long way down the line”, while they are also “favourites” for Mount:

It is believed that manager Jurgen Klopp is happy for the money to be used on Mac Allister and Mount instead of Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool’s midfield is in need of a massive revamp, with the likes of vice-captain James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita all set to leave Anfield when their contracts expire at the end of June.

Bringing in both Mac Allister and Mount will certainly reinforce that area of the pitch. However, their recruitment may not stop there. The Mirror also claim an enquiry has been made for Aurelien Tchouameni, although Real Madrid have rejected the approach. With the move for the Frenchman ruled out, the Reds are expected to consider other options.
