Liverpool Reignite Bid For 8M Playmaker As They Look To Prevent Deal From Being Hijacked By PL Rivals

Liverpool have restarted talks with Fulham over signing Fabio Carvalho, according to reports in the English media.

It is believed that the Reds already have an agreement in place with the player after almost getting an £8m deal over the line during the January transfer window.

However, there are fears that rival Premier League clubs, as well as teams from abroad, could hijack Liverpool’s move for Carvalho, so negotiations have been revived to make sure there is a transfer in place ahead of the summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and AC Milan are just some of the teams that have been linked with the 19-year-old in recent months but the attacking midfielder seems to have his heart set on a switch to Anfield.

Both Liverpool and Fulham are keen to avoid a tribunal so the focus of discussions will be on negotiating a fee. With Carvalho out of contract at the end of the season, it is in the Cottagers’ interest to cooperate as the playmaker still has the option of moving abroad for a nominal fee. We shall see if a move is finalised in the coming weeks.
