Liverpool Rule Out Move For France International Midfielder

Liverpool are not interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to the local media on Merseyside.

There had been reports of the Reds having already contacted the player’s mother and agent about a possible switch to Anfield, but it seems this is wide of the mark.

Rabiot’s current deal at PSG expires in June and he can talk to clubs directly in January about a possible free transfer at the end of the season.

However, it seems his destination won’t be Liverpool. The club are said to be happy with their current options in midfield.

Naby Keita and Fabinho were added in the summer to a group including James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also not to be forgotten.

Yet, Rabiot is a talent, and with the midfielder having admitted in the past of being a fan of the club, it would be a surprise if the Reds haven’t at least considered making a move for the France international. Barcelona, Manchester City and Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the 23-year-old in recent months.
