Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic, according to reports in the UK.
The Serbian international is currently on loan at Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin and has impressed during his time in Germany.
Grujic has made 20 appearances this season, having scored four goals, and it appears his displays have come to the attention of Diego Simeone.
The Atletico boss is looking to replace holding midfielder Rodri who is poised to leave the Wanda Metropolitano this summer with Manchester City favourites to land the Spaniard.
Grujic will not be let go on the cheap, however, with sporting director Michael Edwards reportedly demanding €40m (£34.6m) to sell the 23-year-old.
The midfielder was signed from Red Star Belgrade for just £5.1m in January 2016, and the Reds could bag a healthy profit from his sale.
Since his arrival, Grujic has played just 14 games for the Merseysiders, having spent some time on loan at Cardiff City before his temporary switch to Germany.
