Liverpool Set To Beat United To Summer Signing After Agreeing Personal Terms With Keeper

Liverpool are close to sealing a deal for Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski, according to reports in the UK.

The 16-year-old is believed to have agreed personal terms with the Reds after turning down an offer from Manchester United.

Ojrzynski has had trials at both clubs but the Polish Under 16 international is ready to sign on the dotted line for the Merseysiders.

Simon Mignolet has been linked with a move away from Anfield which means the Reds are likely to be looking for a new number two but the Polish teenager is not expected to be ready for the first team straight away.

Ojrzynski will likely train with the club’s Under 18 team in order to see whether he can make the grade at Anfield.

Liverpool are believed to have agreed a £200,000 transfer fee with Legia Warsaw for Ojrzynski, with the player set to arrive at the club ahead of preseason.
