Liverpool set to offload Loris Karius to Turkey

Liverpool are in talks with Besiktas over a proposed two-year loan deal for out-of-favour keeper Loris Karius, according to reports.

Karius has fallen out of favour at Anfield following his woeful display in the Champions League final last season in which he made two huge errors in a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid.

Following his mishaps in Kiev, Karius was replaced as the club’s number one keeper by £67 million shot-stopper Alisson who joined from AS Roma, and the German is yet to feature for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.

Karius travelled with the squad for Monday’s league match at Crystal Palace but was not included.

Liverpool and Besiktas are understood to be close to agreeing a deal for the 25-year-old, with only personal terms and a medical being left to complete.

Bestikas will have the option to buy Karius at the end of the two-years should he agree to the move.
