Liverpool have made a massive move over the month of December taking advantage of the losses of their rivals to take control of the Premier League and move into first place.

While Liverpool may have lost to Man City last night they still enjoy a 4 point lead over City which was 7 points at the end of December.

Key to the Reds’ fine form has been the incredible form of Egyptian King Mo Salah who is very much back to his very best as his manager had predicted and had a massive month of December in their 9 games.

It has to be mentioned how influential Fabinho has been and how he has played a massive role in Liverpool’s ascent to the top of the table linking up well with Salah and the other forwards.

In Salah’s 7 appearances of Liverpool’s 9 December games, the forward scored an impressive 6 goals including a stunning hat-trick in their game against Bournemouth.

Mo Salah’s role in Liverpool’s rise to the top of the table has seen him receive the nomination for the PFA Fans Awards for the month of December joining Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Mo Salah, Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Ricardo Pereira as the other nominees.
