Liverpool Suffer Double Injury Blow Ahead Of Crystal Palace Fixture

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and left-back Andy Robertson are both injury doubts to face Crystal Palace after the international break, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The two players are suffering with swollen ankles after incidents in the 3-1 win over Manchester City. Salah sustained a knock in a challenge with Fernandinho in the first half, and while he played on until being substituted late on in the match, he has been ruled out of Egypt’s fixtures against Kenya and Comoros.

It is a similar situation with Roberston. The 25-year-old insisted on reporting for international duty as he is the captain of the Scottish national team. However, he has already been ruled out of their game against Cyprus on Saturday.

The swelling around his ankle means an accurate estimate can’t yet be made on his return date so he is a major doubt for the Reds’ game against Palace at Selhurst Park in their next fixture.
