Liverpool Tell Real Madrid To Look Elsewhere After Star Fullback Is Targeted

Liverpool will not sell Andy Robertson no matter the circumstances, according to Defensa Central. The Spanish website had linked the Scotland captain to Real Madrid earlier this week but they have now quashed the rumour.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane is said to be very keen for the 25-year-old to replace Marcelo at the Bernabeu as the Brazilian’s long-term successor, but the La Liga club are aware that any deal for the Scottish international is impossible at the moment.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that Robertson will not be sold at any price, and the same goes for the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Alisson Becker.

With Liverpool’s financial resources and strong bargaining position as the European champions, Real know they don’t have much of a chance of signing any of Liverpool stars so while Zidane is an admirer of Robertson, the fullback won’t be moving to Spain anytime soon.
