Liverpool Told They Will Be Getting A “Bargain” If 60M Rated Midfielder “Doesn’t Sign With Chelsea”

Liverpool will secure a “bargain” signing if they manage to snap up Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Reds are expected to be in the mix for the England international, along with Manchester United, Manchester City and Newcastle, if he becomes available this summer, and Jacobs believes he’d be a great addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad:

“Liverpool’s interest is very genuine, and Mount is exactly the kind of player that fits their profile. And for the price that he will be available at if he doesn’t sign with Chelsea, that will be deemed to be a bargain. That is why Liverpool are one to watch over the coming months.”

Reports suggest that Mount may cost between £60m to £70m, even though he will only have a year left on his contract at the end of the season but, as he is English and still only 24 years of age, he could be well worth the price.

Of course, a lot depends on whether the midfielder is able to agree a new deal with Chelsea or not. It has been suggested that the two parties are well apart on a number of different issues, including salary, bonuses and even contract length.
