Liverpool Tracking 20-Goal Israeli Striker With £22m Release Clause

Liverpool are keen on signing on Red Bull Salzburg striker Moanes Dabour, according to reports in Italy.

The Reds could trigger the Israeli international’s €25m (£22m) release clause as they look to strengthen their striking options.

The odds on a move happening this month, though, are not high, with manager Jurgen Klopp having already stated that it is “not really likely” that the club will look to buy a player during the January transfer window.

With Dominic Solanke having been sold to Bournemouth for £19m and Daniel Sturridge’s contract expiring in the summer, they may still be tracking Dabour.

The 26-year-old has scored 20 goals in 30 appearances for Salzburg this campaign, having scored 55 in all competitions since he joined from Grasshoppers in June 2017.

Reports in Spain say that Valencia and Fulham are also keen on Dabour, although it is not known whether either club are looking to sign the Israeli this month.
