Liverpool have already had a superb transfer window, with Milos Kerkez having been welcomed into the fold alongside Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.

The Reds’ spending is not expected to stop there, though, with sporting director Richard Hughes set to recruit a new striker and a centre-back before the end of the summer.

There is a domino effect in play. Darwin Nunez‘s departure will speed up the search for a replacement, while Jarell Quansah’s impending switch to Bayer Leverkusen will free up a spot at the back.
