1) Isak stays and Newcastle sign Ekitike
This is probably the least likely scenario for one important reason: Ekitike won’t want to be Isak’s understudy.
If it becomes a straight choice between moving to St James’ Park and Anfield, he will plump for the latter option.
That is not because Liverpool are the “bigger club” but because he would most likely be their main number nine.
Darwin Nunez is currently the club’s only striker and he is expected to leave before the summer transfer window closes.
