Liverpool’s pursuit of Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon has stalled somewhat as the Reds failed to meet the Magpies’ asking price of £75 million for the forward.
It is debatable whether Liverpool need more attackers with plenty of options at the disposal of Arne Slot. However, with the new boss aiming to land Gordon, it seems as though he is keen on adding more firepower in attack.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have also shown interest in the England international, so Liverpool may have to begin looking elsewhere for new names.
