TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook says reports linking Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez with a surprise switch to Arsenal are “wide of the mark”.
There have been rumours circling online that the Uruguayan international is unhappy at Anfield, prompting speculation about his future but, writing on his X account, Crook said:
Also told Darwin Nunez to #AFC is wide of the mark.

Some fans on X feigned shock at the reporting, with most not believing that Nunez would make the move to the Emirates anyway:
obviously, why would he downgrade

40million and 1 pound deal is off again .

It all started from a couple Arsenal ITK tweets. Liverpool would be stupid to sell him with less than 72 hours until the deadline shuts, especially to a rival

Nunez has his work cut out getting back into the team
Manager Arne Slot has clearly decided that Diogo Jota is his first choice No.9 at the moment, having started the Portuguese international in the first two Premier League matches.
Nunez will need to make an impact from the bench to get himself back into the starting lineup. It is similar to the situation last season when Klopp kept him out of his eleven initially before he scored that memorable brace versus Newcastle.
Liverpool will have a wealth of attacking options
It looks like the Reds could have SIX forwards for three positions with Federico Chiesa poised to seal his move from Juventus in the coming hours.
The Italian international will join Nunez, Jota, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Mo Salah in competing for starts in Slot’s team.
