Chelsea have not made an approach for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Writing on his X account, Romano said that the Blues are not “working on a deal” to sign the Republic of Ireland international:

Kelleher is currently the Reds’ No.1, having taken the gloves after first-choice Alisson Becker picked up a hamstring injury during the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at the start of October.
The Liverpool shot-stopper has received a lot of praise from pundits
Following an excellent performance against RB Leipzig in the Champions League last month, former Reds star Steve McManaman paid tribute to Kelleher:
“It’s almost disrespectful calling him a number two, because of course, he does play second in command when Alisson is fit, but he’s played too many games now to be associated as one. He’s an outstanding goalkeeper, outstanding when called upon.”
Kelleher doesn’t have a long-term future with the club
After it was confirmed last summer that Giorgi Mamardashvili would be joining from Valencia at the end of the season, it ended any hopes that Kelleher had that he could be Alisson’s long-term replacement in goal.
The Irishman has publicly expressed a desire to be first choice and the feeling is that he will be let go in a future transfer window as long as a club meets Liverpool’s asking price.
At the moment, it doesn’t appear Chelsea are the team who will make a concerted move for him but Kelleher still looks set to depart Anfield sooner rather than later despite his impressive form.
