Chelsea ‘In Talks’ To Sign Liverpool Transfer Target Replacement For Mo Salah

Reports have emerged suggesting that Chelsea are trying to make a January transfer move for Liverpool transfer target Karim Adeyemi.

However, it now seems that Premier League rivals Chelsea are keen to sign the German winger as they look to bolster their attack in an attempt to finish in the Champions League places.

He has scored five goals and provided five assists so far this season for Dortmund, who are reluctant to sell him, especially in the January window.

According to ChelseaNews.com, Blues fans aren’t enamoured with the suggestions that Adeyemi could move to Stamford Bridge, but as things stand, Chelsea are ‘in talks’ for the Liverpool transfer target.

It would pair him up with former teammate Jadon Sancho, who is currently on loan with Chelsea from Manchester United.

Liverpool had seen Adeyemi as a possible replacement for Salah, however topping the feats of the Egyptian this season would be a herculean task for the 22-year-old.

Salah yet to sign a new contract with Liverpool

Time is getting tighter and tighter for Liverpool to tie down Mo Salah, and it has become one of the most talked-about stories in the Premier League this season.

The Reds attacker has been exceptional for the Reds under Arne Slot, scoring 21 goals in 29 games in all competitions, he has also contributed 17 assists this season. It would be a huge blow if he walked as a free agent in the summer.

There is not yet any indication that Salah will sign a new deal at Liverpool. Recent reports by Sky Sports have linked him with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal to become their next poster-boy ahead of Neymar, who has struggled since moving to Saudi Arabia.
