The Darwin Nunez Liverpool Swap Deal That Would See The Reds Land 45 G/A Striker

Liverpool could offer Napoli a swap deal involving Darwin Nunez and Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Reds are hoping to continue their busy summer transfer window by signing a number nine. They have been linked to Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak, but it is not clear yet as to which one they will sign.

It comes after they already added Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong in what has been an excellent start to the summer for Arne Slot.

One way that they are planning to fund a move for a striker is via the sale of Darwin Nunez, who has struggled to find consistent form during his time at Anfield. Nunez has scored 40 goals in 143 games for the Reds in three years.

It has been reported that Serie A champions Napoli are keen to sign Nunez; it is understood that Liverpool are holding out for £70m for him, and that Nunez is open to a move to Italy.

Liverpool should swap Nunez for Osimhen

If Liverpool value Nunez at £70m, they could be savvy and decide to offer Napoli a swap deal for Victor Osimhen, who the Italian side want to sell this summer.

The Reds are reportedly keen on Osimhen, and he would easily help to solve their striker issue. Osimhen has a £63m release clause, so in theory, Liverpool could offer Nunez in a straight swap for the Nigerian international.

The Reds would win this deal massively, as Nunez scored seven goals last season, which is nothing compared with Osimhen, who netted 37, he also provided eight assists.

If Liverpool could pull off such a move, it would be a superb piece of business, and also deprive the likes of Man United, Arsenal and Chelsea from signing one of the top strikers in the world.
