Liverpool are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Desire Doue, according to Anfield Watch.
The website claims that Reds scouts are “monitoring” the teenager, who is struggling to get game time at PSG.
Doue only moved to the Parc Des Princes from Rennes in the summer for €50m (£42m) and, combined with the fact that he is a left winger, fans on X are pretty sceptical about a potential transfer:
We already have 2 left wingers.

I saw him live when he was 16 for Rennes, looked the part honestly. Unsure where he fits into Slotball currently. Exciting talent.

No, young unproven, we need a 23/24 year old who has proven he is a workhorse and a baller

Will he cost money? Then no because fsg won’t spend and if they wanted him they’d have got him before he went psg he’s been well known for years now

Liverpool have been fans of Doue for quite some time
Anfield Watch report that the Reds are “long-term admirers” of the Frenchman, although the club are not alone in that regard.
PSG also beat the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United to Doue’s signature back in the summer so, if the 19-year-old does become available, he won’t be short of suitors.
The club’s transfer priorities lie elsewhere
While Doue may still be on the club’s radar, it does appear as if sporting director Richard Hughes is targeting a different Ligue One player ahead of the January transfer window.
Respected RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins has confirmed that Liverpool’s interest in Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki is genuine. It is believed that the 21-year-old could be sold for a fee less than €30m (£25m) in the New Year.
