Sporting Lisbon will sanction the sale of Liverpool target Goncalo Inacio if they receive a fee in the region of €45m (£38m), according to the Correio da Manha.
The Portuguese newspaper says Manchester United have withdrawn from the race to sign the Portuguese international after securing the services of Leny Yoro.
It means that Sporting are now willing to let Inacio leave for a figure below his €60m (£50.6m) release clause and that has prompted some Liverpool fans on X to say that the club should pursue the defender:

Inacio does fit the profile
Arne Slot’s side are in the market for a young centre-back and, at 22 years of age, Inacio is someone that the Merseysiders would have taken a close look at.
The fact that he is left-footed too is a bonus, and there is a possibility that he could be lined up as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk, whose contract expires next year.
Liverpool have been linked with several centre-halves
In addition to Inacio, the Reds have been credited with an interest in Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi. However, reports suggest that the England international could cost around £65m.
Earlier in the summer, the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Willian Pacho and Bayer Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou were also mentioned as possible options to reinforce the middle of defence.
