‘Sell Him And Get Huijsen’ ‘Can’t Afford Another Trent’ Fans React As Liverpool Star Issues £200K p/w Contract Demand

Paris Saint-Germain could exploit the contract impasse between Liverpool and Ibrahima Konate, according to reports.

The France international is closing in on the final twelve months of his current deal and Anfield Watch claim he wants £200,000 a week to sign on the dotted line.

It is believed that PSG are keeping a close eye on Konate’s situation and fans on X believe the Reds may have to sell the defender to prevent a repeat of what has happened with Trent Alexander-Arnold:

Konate could be tempted by a move back home

It should be noted that the 25-year-old grew up in Paris so a return to his home city is likely to be of interest to the player.

With PSG said to be keen on recruiting a centre-back, especially if Marquinhos leaves this summer, there is a good chance that the Ligue One champions will make an approach for Konate.

Liverpool have identified a possible replacement

As some supporters have mentioned, the Reds are already exploring the market when it comes to strengthening the middle of defence.

Contact has been made with the representatives of Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen. The teenager has a £50m release clause in his contract and he is expected to leave the Cherries this summer.

There will be competition from Chelsea and Arsenal for the 19-year-old but Konate’s potential departure would provide an opening for him to play on a regular basis for the soon-to-be Premier League champions. You would think that such an offer would be too good to turn down.
