“We Are In Talks” – German Superstar Drops Big Hint On His Future Amid Liverpool, Chelsea And City Links

Liverpool transfer target Jamal Musiala has revealed he is “in talks” about signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich.

There has been speculation that the German international could leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season but Musiala says he is keen to stay where he is:

“Yes, I can already imagine [signing a new contract]. We are in talks and I’m happy here.”

Musiala will have a year left on his current deal next summer so there have been plenty of transfer rumours, with Premier League clubs in particular having been mentioned as potential suitors.

4 Premier League teams have been keeping tabs on Musiala

Manchester City have been monitoring the 21-year-old’s situation for quite some time but, as recently as yesterday, Caught Offside claimed that Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have also been watching him.

Based on Musiala’s comments, it appears he is confident that a new contract with Bayern will be signed so a switch to the Premier League doesn’t look that likely at the moment.

Liverpool are looking at other midfielders

Reports both in Spain and Portugal suggest that the Reds have been sending scouts to watch Benfica’s Orkun Kokcu on a regular basis this season.

It was originally claimed at the start of October that the Turkish international was on the club’s radar but, earlier this week, it was also reported that observers from the Merseyside club were spotted watching the player when Benfica took on Feyenoord in the Champions League last Wednesday.

Considering Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has managed Kokcu before, it would not be a surprise if he is interested in bringing him to Anfield. By the sound of things, he would be a more realistic target than Musiala.
