Liverpool are still keeping tabs on Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, according to reports.
The 6ft 5 centre-back has been linked with a controversial move across Stanley Park over the past 12 months and the Daily Mail claim the Reds remain interested in the player, along with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Supporters on X are split on whether Branthwaite would be a good addition to the squad. Some feel that angering their rivals is a good enough reason to do it, while others believe he isn’t good enough to play for the Premier League leaders:
Just sign him to see the reaction of everton fans

Liverpool should be patient, Everton will be relegated and he’ll be available on the cheap.

Branthwaite was the subject of several bids from another Premier League team last year
Manchester United are said to have tabled two formal offers for the 22-year-old last summer, but both proposals were knocked back by Everton.
It is believed that the Toffees are holding out for a fee in the region of £75m. That is not a price you can see Liverpool paying.
Liverpool are looking at other centre-backs
In addition to Branthwaite, the Reds have also been credited with an interest in RB Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba and Ajax’s Jorrel Hato in recent weeks.
The former would cost just as much as Branthwaite, with his release clause set at €90m (£75m), while the latter only signed a new contract with Ajax less than twelve months ago.
