Liverpool And Arsenal Told That Club Will Sell ‘Turkish Gem’ If They Pay £26M Asking Price

Juventus are prepared to sell Kenan Yildiz for €30m (£26m) if Liverpool, Arsenal or another team pay the fee, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian tabloid claim that both Premier League teams are “following” the “Turkish Gem”, who made his debut for his country last month.

Yildiz has only played 5 senior games at club level so far, having been given his first team bow for Juve after coming on as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Udinese back in August.

However, the 18-year-old has clearly been impressing scouts with his performances based on the amount of interest being shown in the player in recent months.

German teams are pursuing Yildiz

Gazzetta report that Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also keeping tabs on the Turkish international, with both clubs keen on investing in young talent.

Whether they would agree to pay the asking price that Juve have set for Yildiz, it is up for debate, and it could well make a move to the Premier League more likely.

What do Liverpool fans need to know about the teenager?

You might be surprised to learn that Yildiz was not born in Turkey, and he hasn’t even played for a team in his homeland.

The attacking midfielder was brought up in Germany, starting his career as a youth player at SV Sallern before switching to his hometown club Regensburg.

After catching the attention of Bayern Munich, Yildiz signed for the Bundesliga champions as a schoolboy in 2012. Following a decade in Bavaria, he left on a free transfer for Juventus last year.

In terms of the Turkish star’s preferred position, he is a no.10 by trade, playing just behind the striker, although he can also be deployed on either wing if required.
