Liverpool have “entered into negotiations” to snap up Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to TuttoJuve.com.
The Italian website claims that the Reds have stepped up their attempts to buy the 23-year-old, who can be signed for €30m (£25.5m) this summer.
Fans on X are split on whether Thuram should be a target for the Merseyside club, with some believing that other areas of the squad need to be strengthened first:
Hope it happens

Would love this to be true. Especially if he's under 20m as rumoured, I think it would be a great signing. Has the physique and the ability to be our next Fabinho

Thuram is in the last year of his contract
While the Frenchman may not be a priority, the fact that he could be available for a knockdown price due to his contract situation may have prompted Liverpool to make a move for him.
Thuram’s current deal expires in 2025 and Nice will be keen to offload him before he can leave on a free transfer next summer. There were even reports last month suggesting that the Ligue One side could make him available for €15m (£13m); half the amount that Tutto Juve reports as his current valuation.
Liverpool may face competition from other English teams
Tutto Juve say Thuram has “attracted the attention” of plenty of Premier League clubs, and Liverpool are certainly not the only ones who have been linked with the player over the last twelve months.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham have also been credited with an interest in the France international.
