‘JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN’ ‘It’s A Low Risk Signing’ Fans Discuss Claims That Liverpool Target Could Cost Just £13M

Nice could make former Liverpool target Khephren Thuram available for between €15m (£13m) and €20m (£17m) this summer, according to Nice Matin.

The local newspaper claims that, as the Frenchman is closing in on the final year of his contract, the club are prepared to let him leave for a cut-price deal.

Fans on X have been asked whether the Reds should sign Thuram if he is available for such a low fee, and the majority agree it would be a smart purchase:

Liverpool tried to sign Thuram last year

The Merseyside club were heavily linked with the 23-year-old before the start of the season, but it is believed that they were put off by his asking price.

At the time, there were various reports suggesting that Nice wanted anything between €40m (£34m) and €60m (£52m) for Thuram but they have since lowered their demands considerably.

Other Premier League clubs are known to be interested in the midfielder

Last month, it was reported that Manchester United had joined the race for Thuram. The club’s minority shareholder INEOS own Nice and they could help facilitate a switch to Old Trafford.

It is also believed that Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham have kept tabs on the France international’s progress over the past couple of years. Liverpool could, therefore, have a lot of competition for his signature if they choose to revive their interest.
