Liverpool do “retain an interest” in Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, according to talkSPORT.
The Reds were heavily linked with the 20-year-old before he decided to remain at Stamford Bridge last summer. However, Chelsea have been looking at offloading homegrown players such as Conor Gallagher to stay within the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules, and talkSPORT claim Colwill could also become “vulnerable to offers”:
Despite Liverpool’s reported interest in Colwill, though, most fans on X are not that keen on him making the switch to Anfield:

Talented, left-footed centre-backs are a rare commodity
While Colwill’s performances for Chelsea this season haven’t been that impressive, you have to take into account his age and the fact that he has been played out of position at left-back.
It’s likely that Liverpool see Colwill as a potential long-term replacement for captain Virgil van Dijk. It’s hard to find left-sided centre-halves and the England international is one of the most talented on the market.
Liverpool will find it difficult to negotiate with Chelsea
While the Reds are keeping tabs on Colwill, it’s hard to see him moving to Merseyside at this moment in time.
The defender only signed a new six-year contract back in August and it would probably take a mammoth bid for Chelsea to even consider letting him go this month or at the end of the season.
