Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is the “leading candidate” to replace Liverpool star Mo Salah, according to the Daily Mail reporter Lewis Steele.
Reports in Germany have already claimed that the France international is being pursued by both the Reds and Manchester City, and Steele has verified that Arne Slot’s side do want the player.
Most supporters on X agree that Olise would be an excellent addition if an attempt to sign the player is made next year:
Get the job done now. Thisis the player ive championed as Salahs successor for ages

Olise should be the first choice but 2nd choice should be Minteh over at Brighton.

We will need 2 really good players to replace Mo when he eventually leaves. Olise is a good one though

Olise is the right profile for Liverpool
The forward is left-footed and he will only turn 24 at the end of this year, which means he hasn’t even hit his prime yet.
Moreover, Olise’s injury problems, which plagued his last season at Crystal Palace, have faded away. He made 50 appearances in all competitions for Bayern during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring 20 goals.
Bayern don’t want to sell the player
There have been reports that Olise’s contract has a release clause, but those claims are believed to be false. Sporting director Christoph Freund has spoken out to refute this rumour.
That means Liverpool are likely to have a difficult time securing the player’s signature. A lot will depend on how keen Olise is to return to the Premier League.
