14 Goal Bundesliga Ace Makes Big Decision On Liverpool Transfer

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush favours a move to Liverpool, according to Bild (via FussballTransfers.com).

The German tabloid claims that the Reds and Bayern Munich are currently the two teams leading the race for the Egyptian international’s signature.

However, Marmoush is said to be leaning towards joining Arne Slot’s side if he does leave Frankfurt in the future.

The 25-year-old has attracted a lot of attention due to his form this season, having scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists in only 16 appearances.

Marmoush has an attainable asking price

It is believed that Frankfurt would be prepared to sell the player for between €50m (£42m) and €60m (£50m). The Bundesliga side are not thought to be looking to offload him in January but a transfer at the end of the campaign is likely.

Several other Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle, have also been mentioned as potential suitors in recent weeks, although it does look like Liverpool’s interest is the most advanced. Things could, of course, still change in that regard.

Liverpool will need to put contingency plans in place if Salah leaves

Mo Salah’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and, speaking out about his future this week, the 32-year-old dropped another hint that he is preparing to depart:

“When Bobby [Firmino] left, for example, you realise everybody will leave one day so I don’t take that for granted. When I go [to the training ground], I always try to have a laugh with them and spend good time together.”

There has been no breakthrough in negotiations over a new deal so far. There is a possibility that a fellow Egyptian could take Salah’s place in Liverpool’s squad if the rumours about Marmoush are accurate.
