‘I’d Take Him Asap’ ‘Bowen Might Be Better’ Fans React As Liverpool Join PL Rivals In Pursuing Wolves Ace

Liverpool have added Wolves winger Pedro Neto to their list of targets, according to FootballTransfers.com.

The website is not always the most reliable for transfer stories, but they claim that the Portuguese international is being considered as an option if Mo Salah leaves Anfield next summer.

Neto has started the season very strongly for Wolves, but fans on X are split on whether he would be a good enough replacement for Salah:

Neto has been in impressive form

The 23-year-old has scored 1 goal and provided 4 assists in 7 appearances for Wolves so far this campaign, but those statistics don’t tell the whole story.

When Liverpool faced Neto last month, he was an absolute menace, creating the opening goal for Hwang Hee-Chan.  The winger followed that up by scoring against Luton before causing all sorts of problems as Wolves secured a shock win versus Manchester City last time out.

Liverpool could have rivals for the player’s signature

Other sources have credited Arsenal with an interest in the Portuguese forward in recent days. That is not surprising as the Gunners were heavily linked with the player before he suffered a couple of serious injuries.

Neto still has just under 4 years remaining on his current contract so, if Liverpool or Arsenal make their move, they will have to pay a significant fee to snap him up.
