Liverpool are reportedly favourites to snap up Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri this summer.
The Reds are one of three Premier League clubs, along with Manchester City and Chelsea, who are pursuing the Algerian international.
It is believed that Ait-Nouri is available for around €45m (£38m) and, while some fans on X believe he is worth the outlay, others are not so convinced:
Hell yeah, I'd take him. He's pretty good

What is the point. Not better than robbo, mid potential and we already have backups. Tsimikas 2.0 (but worse)

Yes. Robbo’s injuries are increasing to the point that we need a proper competitor to share the load with & eventually succeed him.

Ait-Nouri does have plenty of Premier League experience
One factor that the fullback has in his favour is the number of English top-flight games he has played. Since arriving from Angers on an initial loan deal in October 2020, he has racked up almost 100 Premier League appearances.
Considering Ait-Nouri is still only 23 years of age, that makes him a very attractive target. Whether he is worth £38m, though, it is up for debate.
Liverpool do need to freshen up their defence
Andy Robertson is now 30 years of age, while his understudy Kostas Tsimikas is 28. In the centre, captain Virgil van Dijk will be 33 in a week’s time.
It’s an area of the pitch that does need to be revamped. The club have been linked with a fair few centre-halves in recent weeks, including Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori and Lille’s Leny Yoro, but fewer left-backs have been mentioned. For that reason, the reports about Ait-Nouri are not a complete surprise.
