Chelsea may consider signing former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino on loan from Al-Ahli for the rest of the season, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Blues are looking for a short-term solution up front and they have identified the Brazilian and Karim Benzema as potential options.
Firmino only left Anfield just over six months ago and supporters on X would be disappointed if he decided to join a Premier League rival:
I wouldn't be happy about this 😤

Why would Firmino want to return to the UK?
Although the 32-year-old did get off to a strong start to his time in Saudi Arabia, scoring a hat-trick on his debut for Al-Ahli, things have gone downhill since then.
Firmino hasn’t hit the back of the net since his first appearance, and while he did start the season as captain, he has been relegated to substitute appearances over the past couple of months. He could, therefore, be keen on leaving his current team already.
Chelsea may decide against pursuing the ex-Liverpool star
The Telegraph have only mentioned Firmino as a possible target for the Blues and there is no suggestion that they will press ahead with a formal offer at this stage.
Considering Mauricio Pochettino’s side are looking to solve their goalscoring problems, Firmino may not be best suited for that responsibility in any case.
