“He’s Basically Been Telling People…” – Journalist Reveals What Rodrygo’s Agent Has Had To Say About Liverpool Move

Liverpool have made it clear to Rodrygo’s representative that they are interested in signing the Real Madrid forward, according to the Daily Mail reporter Lewis Steele.

The journalist has received inside information about deals involving the Reds in the past, and speaking on his YouTube channel, he confirmed what a contact told him about the club’s pursuit of the Brazilian international:

“A guy I know knows Rodrigo’s agent, and he’s basically been telling people ‘Yes, Liverpool are keen’ but there’s been no direct contact yet, or this was what he told me a few days ago anyway. So it’s one to keep an eye on, but nothing more than that at this stage.”

Rodrygo is still believed to be weighing up whether he wants to leave the Bernabeu. He only started one match at the Club World Cup and there are concerns over how much game time he will get under head coach Xabi Alonso next season.

More clubs are expected to enter the race for Rodrygo

If the 24-year-old signals that he is willing to leave Real over the coming days, Liverpool will not be the only team looking to secure his services.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have all reportedly expressed an interest in signing Rodrygo as well.

Liverpool could also target another winger

If both Luis Diaz and Federico Chiesa are offloaded before the transfer window shuts on September 1st, there is a chance that the Merseyside club will sign two wingers.

Posting on his X account, another journalist, Sacha Tavolieri, has said that a move for Lyon’s Malick Fofana could be triggered if Chiesa is sold. Talks with the Belgian’s agent have taken place in recent weeks, although nothing has advanced beyond preliminary discussions.
