Liverpool are interested in signing Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to The Athletic.
In an article on Saturday, journalist James Pearce confirmed the Moroccan international is among the names being considered as a potential replacement for Fabinho.
After additional reports from the likes of Fabrizio Romano warned that Fiorentina won’t sell Amrabat for a low fee, fans on Twitter have been debating whether the Reds should be pursuing the player:

Amrabat does have other suitors
Manchester United are thought to be keen on signing the 26-year-old, although it is felt that the Red Devils are not in a position to make an offer at this time.
The Manchester side are currently focused on buying Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, and they may only make a move once they have offloaded either Fred or Donny van de Beek.
West Ham are likely to present more of a threat to Liverpool, with the Hammers keen to bring in a midfielder following the departure of Declan Rice to Arsenal.
He would be the cheapest option for Liverpool
While Amrabat may cost around €30m (£26m), he would still be the most affordable of the targets that the Reds are reportedly pursuing.
The likes of Benfica’s Florentino Luis, Southampton’s Romeo Lavia and Fulham’s Joao Palhinha, in particular, may all cost £50m or more, while Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch and Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips would probably still be valued at a higher amount than Amrabat too.
