Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United will hold talks with the representatives of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this week, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Belgian reporter says the Nigerian international, who scored 31 times last season, is prioritising a move to England and his future could be defined after meetings with the three Premier League teams:
🏴🔵 Le dossier Victor #Osimhen🇳🇬 va bouger sur le marché! #ManUnited, #ChelseaFC & #Liverpool ont des meetings prévus avec l’entourage du meilleur buteur de #SerieA. La semaine prochaine devrait définir les intentions de ses 3 clubs.
La priorité d’#Osimhen est la #PremierLeague. pic.twitter.com/fOINhWD8hQ— Sacha Tavolieri (@sachatavolieri) June 24, 2023
Fans on Twitter are, unsurprisingly, very sceptical about Tavolieri’s claims, and most have simply dismissed the story:
We're not signing him….. A whole of reasons why we're never gonna go in for him

Liverpool can’t afford Osimhen
Napoli’s asking price for the 24-year-old is a massive €150m (£129m) so, unless the Reds get bought by a rich Sheikh in the next few weeks, there is simply not enough funds available for a a transfer to happen.
If they had that sort of money available, the Merseyside club would have surely fought a lot harder to sign Jude Bellingham.
Signing a striker is not a priority
On top of the financial aspect, it is important to point out that Liverpool already have plenty of centre-forwards available. Even after the departure of Roberto Firmino, manager Jurgen Klopp can call upon the likes of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo to play through the middle.
Unless Klopp has decided that he wants to sell Nunez after just one season at Anfield, there is no room in the squad for someone like Osimhen, despite his undoubted ability.
