Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal And City On Alert Amid Claims “Unstoppable” Forward Could Be Sold Next Year

Liverpool are among the teams being kept informed about Vinicius Jr’s contract situation at Real Madrid, according to reports.

TBRFootball claim there are concerns that the Brazilian will not sign a new deal with the La Liga giants, and there could be a decision to make next summer when the player will be nearing the final year of his contract.

The Reds, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City are all said to be watching on with interest as Vinicius could be open to joining a Premier League club.

It is believed that a move to Saudi Arabia does not appeal to the player, who is still only 25 years of age.

Real need to resolve Vinicius’s future soon

Journalist Graeme Bailey says the forward’s current team would be reluctant to sell him but they are not willing to let him go for free either:

“Florentino Perez loves Vinicius Junior but there are concerns within the club about whether he is going to sign this new deal. It is hard to imagine Vinicius not being at Madrid, but sources are insisting this possibility.”

“The coming months are going to be intriguing but the basic point is that Real won’t allow him to go into the final 12 months of his deal and potentially look at a free transfer.”

Liverpool could strengthen the left flank

Manager Arne Slot currently has three options on the left wing, including Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa. However, if a player of Vinicius’s calibre becomes available, it would be hard to resist making a move for him.

TNT Sports pundit Owen Hargreaves described the Brazilian as “unstoppable” after he scored a second-half hat-trick during a 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund last season. Many believe that he was very unlucky to lose out to Rodri for the Ballon d’Or in 2024.
