Liverpool and Arsenal are both still keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Ecuadorian international has been on the radar of both clubs for a number of months and the journalist claims that they have retained their interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, with Pacho’s asking price being between €50m (£43m) and €60m (£51m), most Reds fans on X are not particularly enthusiastic about recruiting the centre-back:
Overpriced no thanks

Liverpool will need to strengthen their options in the centre of defence
With Joel Matip seemingly set to leave Anfield when his contract expires at the end of June, reinforcements will be required at centre-half.
Pacho is one of the more promising young defenders in Europe and the fact that he is left-footed may also make him a more attractive target. It is up for debate, though, whether he is worth his reported asking price.
Any signings will be decided by the new manager
Chief scouts Dave Fallows and Barry Hunter have continued to identify potential targets, even though Jurgen Klopp has announced he will leave the club at the end of the campaign.
However, any final decision on transfers will have to wait until the club have appointed Klopp’s successor. For now, Pacho is just one of many players being monitored by the recruitment team.
