After a couple of draws, Liverpool now find themselves behind Manchester City in the table after Pep Guardiola side’s win over Everton last night.

Dropping points against Leicester and West Ham has certainly placed more pressure on the Reds, and they will need to show their title credentials when they face Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Cherries will be difficult opponents, although Eddie Howe’s side have been in erratic form, winning 4-0 against Chelsea only to lose 2-0 to Cardiff last time out.

Liverpool’s injury situation will be of concern to manager Jurgen Klopp. Both Jordan Henderson (muscle) and Georginio Wijnaldum (knee) are doubts for the game.

Dejan Lovren is struggling with a hamstring injury while Joe Gomez is out of contention following surgery on his fractured leg. However, Trent Alexander Arnold could return following a knee problem and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) is on the comeback trail.

Bournemouth will be without two key attacking players. David Brooks injured his ankle against Chelsea and will be out for a few weeks. Striker Callum Wilson, meanwhile, has been sidelined until the end of the month after undergoing minor knee surgery.

Lewis Cook and Simon Francis are both out for the long term with ACL injuries.
