Liverpool V Sheffield United: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Liverpool will want to improve on their performance against Wolves last time out when they face Sheffield United tomorrow night. The Reds scraped a win on Sunday and they will be facing an equally tough test when the Blades line up at Anfield.

Chris Wilder’s side have been excellent defensively this season and could have easily come away with a point or more when they lost 2-0 at Manchester City last weekend.

In terms of team news, Liverpool are still without seven first-team players. Joel Matip (knee), Fabinho (ankle), Dejan Lovren (thigh), Rhian Brewster (ankle), Nathaniel Clyne (knee), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (ankle) and Xherdan Shaqiri (hamstring) are all unavailable.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson, Keita, Wijnaldum, Milner, Salah, Firmino, Origi

The Blades will be able to welcome back John Lundstram, after the 25-year-old recovered from an ankle injury that kept him out of the defeat to City. Reserve goalkeeper Simon Moore is the only other player currently on the sidelines.

Sheffield United’s Predicted XI:

Henderson, Baldock, Basham, Egan, O’Connell, Stevens, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, McGoldrick, Mousset

The bookmakers have Liverpool as the clear favourites with Coral pricing them at 3/10 for the win. A draw is 5/1 with Betfred while a United victory is 12/1 at Bet 365.

Predicted Score – 1-1
