Liverpool V Tottenham: Champions League Final Preview And Betting Odds

Liverpool should need no extra motivation heading into the Champions League final this weekend. After losing out on the league by one point and losing the final last year, Jurgen Klopp’s men will be keen to put things right against Tottenham

Spurs, though, will have nothing to lose, and there is no doubt that they will cause the Reds problems on Saturday evening.

In terms of team news, Liverpool will be without Naby Keita. The Guinean is recovering from a thigh injury he sustained in the first leg of the semi-final against Barcelona, but he won’t be ready for the weekend.

Roberto Firmino is back in full training. Although he did sit out the main session yesterday, Klopp has confirmed that the Brazilian is expected to be ready to start the final.

Andy Robertson should feel no ill effects from a calf strain he picked up in the second leg against Barca, and will likely start the game in Madrid.

For Tottenham, Harry Kane is fit to play on Saturday. The striker hasn’t played since the quarter-final first leg against Manchester City, and it will up to manager Mauricio Pochettino to decide whether he is ready to start.

Harry Winks, who has also been absent since the same game with a groin injury, has been included in the squad for the final. Dele Alli (muscular), Jan Vertonghen (ankle), Davinson Sanchez (thigh) and Danny Rose (hamstring) have also recovered from knocks.

The bookmakers make Liverpool the favourites to come out on top in the final. The Reds are 19/20 with Unibet to win with a draw after 90 minutes currently 13/5 at BetVictor. A victory for Spurs is 10/3 with Betfair.
