Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be sweating over the fitness of Dejan Lovren after the Croatian limped off during the 2-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg last night. He is a doubt for this weekend’s game against Watford.

However, the Reds will be able to welcome back Adam Lallana for the match this weekend. The 31-year-old sat out the games against Bournemouth and Salzburg due to a thigh injury.

Klopp is still without Joel Matip. The centre-back is expected to be out for another ten days or so before returning to full training before the end of the year.

Fabinho is still ruled out with his return from an ankle problem likely to be in January. Nathaniel Clyne is a long-term absentee following the ACL injury he sustained during preseason.

Watford will be under new leadership when they line up on Saturday with Nigel Pearson due to take charge of his first match at Anfield. The Hornets have six fitness concerns heading into the game.

Centre-back Craig Dawson is a slight doubt with a head injury, while Daryl Janmaat is struggling to overcome a knee problem. Danny Welbeck (hamstring), Tom Cleverley (heel), Sebastian Prodl (knee) and Jose Holebas (ankle) are all out of contention.
