Liverpool are flying higher than they have done for a long period of time as they have won four out of their last five games. 

Arne Slot’s team are unbeaten in all competitions since they lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest in mid-September and come off the back of an impressive 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

The Liverpool boss will be delighted too as his side are relatively fit and healthy with Alisson, Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa being the only names that are ruled out for the weekend. Harvey Elliot returns from injury after an extended period on the side-lines.

They face an Aston Villa side who have lost three games in a row in all competitions and will be desperate to get back to winning ways at Anfield.
