Liverpool asserted their dominance on the Champions League on Tuesday night as they cruised to victory against Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen. 

The reigning Bundesliga champions couldn’t get close to Liverpool who scored all their goals in the second half to lead them to a 4-0 victory at Anfield.

Arne Slot’s side now sit on top of the Champions League table and the Premier League table after four wins from four in the European competition.

Goals from Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo helped the Reds to victory after they came of a win in the league at the weekend against Brighton. Arne Slot will now look forward to the weekend when Liverpool host Aston Villa on Saturday night.
