Liverpool Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch In Champions League Vs Bologna

Liverpool face their second Champions League match as they host Bologna on Wednesday night at Anfield.

Arne Slot’s side won their opening game of the competition 3-1 against AC Milan in what was an impressive Champions League debut for the new-look Reds.

They come off the back of a 2-1 win against Wolves in the Premier League last Saturday when goals from Ibrahima Konate and Mo Salah helped to secure three points.

Liverpool now sit top of the Premier League table as they look to compete with title rivals Manchester City and Arsenal.

They face a Bologna side who have only won one in their last seven games and will be desperate for a result to move away from their poor start to the season.

Arne Slot will be without defender Andy Robertson who was subbed off against Wolves on Saturday with a knock. He may be selected in the squad but it’s unlikely that Slot will start Robertson even if he’s ready to go.

On the other hand, Darwin Nunez has been cleared for selection and so could be available to play against Bologna if the Liverpool boss chooses to start him.

Liverpool heavy favourites to earn second Champions League win

Seeing as the two sides couldn’t be further apart in terms of recent form, the Reds will surely feel confident that they can pick up the win in front of the Anfield crowd.

According to Oddschecker, Liverpool are 1/5 favourites giving them an 83% chance of winning. Meanwhile, Bologna is 16/1 (6%) to win and a draw is backed at (13%).

We predict a comfortable 3-0 win for Liverpool who have had an excellent start to the new Arne Slot era.
