Liverpool Vs Brighton Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch

Liverpool face a case of deja vu this weekend as they come up against Brighton for the second time this week.

They had a trip to the Amex Stadium on Wednesday for a Carabao Cup clash in which Arne Slot’s side won 3-2 thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.

They now turn their attention back to the Premier League as they aim to overtake Manchester City who sit at the top of the table, one point ahead of the Reds.

Arne Slot will be pleased with his start as Liverpool boss winning seven of nine games in the Premier League, however they come off a winless match where they drew to title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Furthermore, the Reds will be without striker Diogo Jota who suffered an injury that Arne Slot confirmed will keep him side-lined until after the November international break.

They face a Brighton side who sit sixth in the Premier League on 16 points from nine games. Fabian Hurzeler’s side are unbeaten in three matches in the league.

Liverpool heavily favoured despite impressive Brighton

The Seagulls have impressed so far this season, however the bookmakers still hold Liverpool as heavy favourites on Saturday partially due to the home advantage at Anfield.

According to Oddschecker, the Reds are 2/5 to win on Saturday which gives them a 71% chance of securing three points at Anfield.

Their opponents are backed to win at 7/1 odds giving them a 12.5% chance of victory whereas a draw is backed at 23/5 (18%).

We predict a 2-1 Liverpool win in a tough game for the home team.

Where to watch the Reds against Brighton

The game kicks off from Anfield at 3 pm on Saturday 2 November and won’t be broadcast live in the UK due to the 3 pm blackout rule that applies.

However, highlights will be posted on on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel after the game and extended highlights will be broadcast on BBC One’s Match of the Day at 10.30 pm on Saturday along with the other Premier League matches.
