Liverpool head into the international break on top of the Premier League after six wins and one loss in their opening seven games under Arne Slot.
They won 1-0 against Crystal Palace on Saturday in a game that deserved more goals than just Diogo Jota’s effort, but three points is three points and Liverpool will be delighted with their form under Slot.
Jota took the lead after nine minutes after an assist from Cody Gakpo who came into the side replacing Luis Diaz who was dropped to the bench.
However, it wasn’t all good for the Reds as goalkeeper Alisson was subbed off with a hamstring injury which is expected to keep him sidelined until late in November.
This means that Liverpool will face games against Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton and Aston Villa without their number one in goal, it could be a big loss for the Reds.
