GK – Alisson – Recent news has emerged that the Reds have identified Giorgo Mamardashvilli as a future replacement for Alisson. However, the Brazil international isn’t going anywhere just yet.
LB – Kostas Tsimikas – Andy Robertson has just recovered from an injury, and they will unlikely thrust him straight back into the starting XI.
CB – Virgil Van Dijk – There is no argument here, if he is fit, then Van Dijk will start every game this season.
CB – Ibrahima Konate – It is hard to determine whether Slot will play Konate, Gomez or Quansah in this position.
RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold – There was much speculation over a possible move to Madrid this summer, but Trent remains a Liverpool player.
