Liverpool recorded a historic win on Wednesday night at Anfield as they beat Real Madrid 2-0.
The Reds opened the scoring thanks to a goal from Alexis MacAllister which was well-worked for Arne Slot‘s team.
They then gave away a penalty shortly after which was saved from Kylian Mbappe by Liverpool keeper Caoimhin Kelleher who is standing in for the injured Alisson.
Liverpool then got a penalty chance of their own as Salah was brought down in the box by Farland Mendy, however, Salah missed the chance to make it 2-0.
The Reds then finally scored a second thanks to a well-worked corner which substitute Cody Gakpo got onto the end of to make it 2-0.
They will now turn their attention to Manchester City at the weekend as they are now eight points clear at the top of the Premier League and two clear at the top of the Champions League.
